Sky Meadow Farm

While looking for a pumpkin patch, I found an awesome pick-your-own orchard in Leona Valley (about 15 minutes from here) that is pesticide free and I knew I wanted to take the girls apple picking. I had been looking forward to this for months now and we finally had a free weekend so we went today. It was a blast! The girls loved picking the apples and Aubrey got licked by a cow. (Which by the way are soft and furry like a teddy bear, being a beach girl I'd never seen a cow like that and Craig of course had to make fun of me for it, lol.) The apples at this orchard were Arkansas Black apples, which I'd never heard of but they are soo good! And are suppose to last up to 6 months in the fridge, so I'll definitely be going back to get some more. I also am hoping to drag someone along with us so we can take a family photo :)

Halloween

Aubrey is in love with The Little Mermaid right now so naturally she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween and Evvy is too little to want to be anything specific, so I thought Flounder the Fish would make them a cute pair! I decided to make Aubrey's costume, since I didn't like how the premade costumes had skirts instead of fins. I was really happy with how it came out seeing how I'd never made any clothes before. I also made her a crab candy bag out of a stuffed crab by replaceing the "shell" with a bag and adding a handle. Aubrey also wanted me to be Ursula (her FAV. Disney villain) I searched all over for a Ursula costume but had no luck finding one so I attempted to make one. Unfortunatly I waited until the last day to make it and didn't do such a great job, but after spending hours on it, I wasn't not going to wear it even though no one was going to no who I was. I'm so glad I did cause Aubrey LOVED it and has been talking about my costume all day!! It's nice knowing that it made Aubrey happy, even thought no one had any idea what I was! Unfortunatly I couldnt convince Craig to be King Triton, though I tried my best!

Halloween now? Halloween now??

Aubrey is so excited for halloween! For the last few weeks she has been asking now stop, "Haaween now, Haaween now?" I've finished making her costume and have Evelyn's already. I'm not going to ruin the surprise, but they are adorable! Here are our pics from last years Halloween:

Lombardi Ranch

Yesterday we took the girls to Lombardi Ranch in Santa Clarita. It's a huge pumpkin patch with train rides, a petting zoo and a corn maze! I made sure to check the weather in advance to make sure the girls wouldn't be cold, since I usually have the girls under dressed when we go down to Ventura. Well let me just say, the weather app for the IPhone sucks! It was not 75 like it was suppose to be, it was more like 60. Luckily I had hats for the girls and and extra blanket for Aubrey. Other than being cold we had a great time! We went through the corn maze and were able to find all the hidden animals, the girls picked out pumpkins and we got lots of pictures. Oh and Aubrey almost got licked by a cow, Haha!

aubrey's talking up a storm

I feel bad because I realized I haven't written any posts about Aubrey in a while. She's day trained and now we're going to start on night training since she's actually able to put Evelyn's diapers on herself when she wants to. She loves prunes and thinks those and her gummy vitamins are candy :). She's started talking in sentences a lot more, some of her new sentences are:

Watch Max's Haa-ween (halloween)
I-Love-Youuu ~ This one I had to bribe her with gummy vitamins to get her to say
Shh, it's ok baby ~ she tells Evvy this when she's crying in the car
Pick Apples~ I told her we were going to go apple picking soon

She's learned some new names too!

Tolton-Colton
Kiss-Chris
Non-Jon
Miss-Missy

She also says "Baby sad" but it sounds like "baby dead" and it makes me want to cry everytime I hear it so I'm trying to get her to say "baby crying" instead.

It's coming sooner than we thought!

Just a little more than 3 weeks ago I posted about Evelyn standing unassisted, well now she's attempting to take steps! She completely mastered pulling herself up and walking along the furniture, but I didn't think she'd be trying to walk already. At this rate she'll be walking like a pro by Christmas! She also does a crab walk, she figured it out because she needed to crawl without getting her knees caught in her dress and I guess it's faster that crawling on her knees because that's how she gets around when she's in a hurry. Here are some pics of her pushing ehr new toy around:

Goodbye toothless grin...

Hello pearly whites! We've been a little busy getting ready for Chris's party this weekend but I want to share Evelyn's new milestone. Over the weekend she's gotten TWO more teeth! Both are in the middle on the top, but she's a champ and didn't even get fussy over it.
