It takes wisdom to have a good family, and it takes understanding to make it strong." - Proverbs 24:3

4 doors!

I am so excited, after almost a year of trying to get both the girls in and out of our little 2 door Acura we finally traded it in for a 4 door car! Craig's Dad knew we were going to be looking for a bigger car soon and I mentioned to him that I like the Caliber and the next thing I knew, he had found a great deal on one and it came with a lifetime drive train warranty. I no longer have to put Aubrey in through the hatchback, lol.

So disappointed!

Just last week Craig and I were talking in the car about backing up all of our photos to a data storage company in addition to using an external hard drive. Well I completely forgot to back them up once I got home and today Craig's computer crashed!! I checked the external hard drive and the last time I added more pictures to it was in August of '08, that's a year and a half worth of photos that I lost!! All of Evvy's newborn pics, all of Aubrey's birthday, our Disneyland trip, all of it gone! I am so sad right now and just want to crawl into bed and cry. Those photos are so important to me and honestly there isn't any other possesion that I value more, I really hope we can somehow get them back!

Thanksgiving!

Our thanksgiving was fairly simple, we had to stay home yesterday morning to watch the Packers game, of course, lol. But after that we headed down to Ventura with Craig's Parents for dinner at Grandma Rose's. Craig's Uncle Jeff and Tina were there, Kory, Sara and their two girls, Lexi and Kylie, Steve and Laurie and Chris and Colton, and Jon and Us. We had a ton of yummy food and enjoyed hanging out with family!

Giving Thanks

I have soo much to thank the Lord for!

Craig- He is the most amazing man and I am so blessed to have him as my husband! I am so thankful that he is a good Christian man and work hard to provide for us I am so blessed that he is the man I am going to spend my life with and have his help in raising our children.

Aubrey and Evelyn- I cannot express just how thankful I am for these two gifts! Being their Mom is what I live for and has made me a better person, though I am still struggling with patience. I feel beyond blessed to be able to raise two beautiful, smart, precious girls and though some days are a challenge I would not change a thing.

Health- I'll admit this is one that I tend to take for granted but after hearing of losses in a few friends life's, I am so thankful for not only having my health but also having a healthy family. I am thankful that, with the exception of a few minor problems, I was able to carry two healthy babies to term and have two safe, complication-free deliveries and that those two babies have thrived and grown without as much as an ear infection!

A roof over our heads; While this one has certainly been hard at times I am so thankful for the generosity Craig's parents have shown us in opening their home to us and the continuing to when those few months turned into a year. I didn't grow up near my Grandparents so I am so glad the girls have been able to spend lots of time with theirs!

Craig's Job Opportunities; Craig has moved from job to job since I met him but every time it has been to a bigger and better company where he is given more room for advancement. I am so thankful that he has a steady job where he can advance and that he make enough for me to stay home with our girls!

Being a Stay at Home Mom; I am so glad that I can stay home and raise the girls myself. I feel that this is the best thing Craig and I can give the girls, that one of us is able to always be with them, to teach them new things, keep them safe and most importantly make sure they know the Lord. I love being able to be there for all their firsts and usually be able to snap a picture to show Craig.

The Lord has blessed us in so many ways and I am soo Thankful!

Sky Meadow Farm

While looking for a pumpkin patch, I found an awesome pick-your-own orchard in Leona Valley (about 15 minutes from here) that is pesticide free and I knew I wanted to take the girls apple picking. I had been looking forward to this for months now and we finally had a free weekend so we went today. It was a blast! The girls loved picking the apples and Aubrey got licked by a cow. (Which by the way are soft and furry like a teddy bear, being a beach girl I'd never seen a cow like that and Craig of course had to make fun of me for it, lol.) The apples at this orchard were Arkansas Black apples, which I'd never heard of but they are soo good! And are suppose to last up to 6 months in the fridge, so I'll definitely be going back to get some more. I also am hoping to drag someone along with us so we can take a family photo :)

Halloween

Aubrey is in love with The Little Mermaid right now so naturally she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween and Evvy is too little to want to be anything specific, so I thought Flounder the Fish would make them a cute pair! I decided to make Aubrey's costume, since I didn't like how the premade costumes had skirts instead of fins. I was really happy with how it came out seeing how I'd never made any clothes before. I also made her a crab candy bag out of a stuffed crab by replaceing the "shell" with a bag and adding a handle. Aubrey also wanted me to be Ursula (her FAV. Disney villain) I searched all over for a Ursula costume but had no luck finding one so I attempted to make one. Unfortunatly I waited until the last day to make it and didn't do such a great job, but after spending hours on it, I wasn't not going to wear it even though no one was going to no who I was. I'm so glad I did cause Aubrey LOVED it and has been talking about my costume all day!! It's nice knowing that it made Aubrey happy, even thought no one had any idea what I was! Unfortunatly I couldnt convince Craig to be King Triton, though I tried my best!
