Yesterday we took the girls to our favorite pumpkin patch, Lombardi Ranch! We found LR last year when we were looking for a real pumpkin patch and enjoyed returning this year. This year the weather was perfect, unlike last years cold gloomy weather. The girls had a blast climbing on the hay pyramid, playing in the gigantic pumpkins, and seeing all the animals. Last year Aubrey got licked my a cow, this year the was bit by an ostrich! All the animals in cages had signs that said "animals will bite" and the girls didn't even try to touch any of them but as soon as we got to the ostrich cage I had to pull Evvy back and as I was doing that Aubrey immediately stuck her hand through the fence and it bit her! She was so surprised and I think thought it took her fingers when it started chewing and then swallowed. She looked at her hand to make sure they were all there and then pulled Evvy away from the cage and wouldn't let her get anywhere near it! I was so proud of her for looking out for her little sister!!! While all this was happening, Craig was getting tickets to the petting zoo and corn maze, so as you can imagine, Aubrey was a little apprehensive about getting to touch animals. First she wouldn't touch any of them and wouldn't let Evvy either, but after a while she warmed up to it and loved petting them! After the petting zoo we headed to the corn maze. This time both the girls were bigger enough to walk all the way through it and even pick which way to go so it was a lot more fun for them. They found every animal on the map and were so excited when they reached the end!
