It takes wisdom to have a good family, and it takes understanding to make it strong." - Proverbs 24:3

We're back!

I know it's been a while since I've posted, mostly because my posts revolve around photos and I have been without a computer to upload all my pics to. But that's been fixed! I have soo many things to blog about, including the girls first day of preschool!! and will get to them as soon as possible.

Pumpkin Patch

On the first of this month Craig and I took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch. The one we went to is suppose to be awesome with 2 huge corn mazes and a ton of other things to see and do, but when we got there we found out the people that run it had a family emergency and they hadn't opened for the season. Because we were already there the workers who were setting stuff up let us walk around anyway. It worked out well, because the corn mazes which are the main attraction weren't finished yet they didn't charge us the entry fee and the girls got to be "testers" for the other attractions, like the jumper and the cow tractor rise :)

Photo of the Day

Pantry Tigers
I came into the room and this is what I found! I asked what they were doing and Evvy told me they were tigers! She then proceeded to stick her bottom out and ask where her tail was! silly girl! I really need to install those locks on the door!

Loving where we live!

Grand Junction and Palisade weren't too picturesque during the winter but spring time is a completely different story! Everything is green and blooming and the sky is a beautiful bright blue with white fluffy clouds everywhere! I've never thought of Landscape Photography to be one of my interests or strengths but it is so beautiful here you can't help but notice the scenery and for me that means the potential shots.

Even just driving down the freeway I will notice multiple shots and I find myself wanting to stop along the freeway to get those perfect shots, not a good idea with a 75+ speed limit and two kids in the car! I am particularly obsessed with MT. Garfield! It is a gorgeous peak the protrudes up into the blue sky. I know it sounds crazy but I think it is one of the most beautiful mountains I have seen and it intrigues me.

So today after going to the store the girls fell asleep in the car and I figured it was the perfect time to try to find those perfect shots from the safety of the side roads. Unfortunately being limited to side roads and seldom used over passes changes the composition of those shots but I managed to get a few, though they don't even begin to do Gods work justice!

Resurrection Rolls

Last night after church the girls and I made Resurrection Rolls to help explain the meaning of Easter to them. Since Aubrey is such a hands on learner I knew it would be a hit! There are a few different expainations that use every step to symbolize what Jesus went through but since Evvy is still kinda young I used an easier one this year.

The night before Easter you roll out bisquit dough...

Eating the dough is not required :)

Add some melted butter and Cinnimon and sugar...

"Anoint" a marshmallow (Jesus) with Butter (oil) and Cinnimon sugar (spices)...

Silly Daddy!

And wrap it in a Tomb of dough.

Then you bake it and wait till morning to find out what happened!
